Accountants sharing how they actually use AI.

A free room on Slack for licensed accountants, run by Michael. Not a vendor channel, not a lead list. People in 43 countries saying what they tried in their practice this week, what worked, and what broke.

Who it is for

Licensed accountants, tax advisers and bookkeepers with a licence number to their name. Credentials are checked once, at signup. Nobody joins from this page: the door only exists on the hub of an approved accountant. That is what keeps the room a room and not a sales floor.

What gets shared

Practice, not theory.

What worked this week

The prompt that finally got a clean VAT return out of the AI you already use. The workflow that took a day off the month-end. Real, copied from someone's practice, not a vendor demo.

What changed in your country

A threshold moved. A form changed. A deadline shifted. The person in that country says so, and the Guide gets fixed before an AI repeats the old number.

Guides that need a second pair of eyes

Someone asks: does this still hold in your jurisdiction? An accountant who works there answers, and puts their name on it.

How it works

Three steps in, five rules inside.

  1. Sign up and get your credentials checked

Create an accountant account and give your licence number. It is checked once. That is the whole gate, and it is why the room is worth being in.

  2. The door opens from your hub

Once approved, the Slack door sits on your accountant hub. Read the house rules, tick once, and you are in.

  3. Introduce yourself once

Your name, where you are, what your firm does. That is the one time you get to describe your business, and it is welcome.

The house rules

You read these and tick once before the door opens. They are short because they are meant to be kept.

  1. Introduce yourself once

Your name, where you are, and what your firm does. That is the one time you get to describe your business, and it is genuinely welcome. Nobody can help you if they don't know what you do.

  2. After that, no promotion

No adverts, no pitches, no services dropped into someone else's question, and no messaging people privately to sell to them because you met them here. This is the rule that keeps the room worth being in.

  3. Give before you take

Answer something in your jurisdiction. Say what changed in your law this month. Flag a Guide that is wrong. Arrive with a question by all means, but leave something behind too.

  4. Argue with the rule, not the person

Everyone here is a professional and plenty of them will disagree with you about the law. That is the point of the room. Contempt is not.

  5. No client details, and nothing here is advice

Never post anything that identifies a client, even indirectly. Nothing said in the group is professional advice to anyone, and nobody in it is engaged by you or your client.

Michael runs this group and will remove anyone who treats it as a lead list. That is the whole enforcement policy.

It is free. Come and say hello.

Sign up as an accountant, get your credentials checked once, and the Slack door is waiting on your hub. Bring a question, bring something that worked, or just bring your name.

The WhatsApp group is moving here. If you are already in it, open Slack from your hub now. The group closes once everyone has moved.
