Accounting services · Exit tax
Exit-tax planning when you move with company shares.
The Departure Plan is a fixed-fee written plan for owners moving country with company shares: what the exit tax would be, whether it can be deferred or secured, what the new country taxes, and the steps and dates on both sides. We start with leaving Canada, France and Germany. Then we can run the accounts on both sides.

Questions people ask us
What does it cost?
A first view of the exit tax is free. The full written Departure Plan for one owner, one company and one pair of countries is €1,950 (£1,690 or $2,190), fixed. Each extra company or shareholder is €490. The departure-year returns are quoted with the plan. Prices exclude VAT.
Do I have to pay exit tax when I leave?
Several countries treat you as having sold your shares on the day you leave and tax the gain, even though you sold nothing. Some let you defer the tax or give security instead. The plan tells you which applies to you, and what it costs.
Which countries do you cover?
We start with owners leaving Canada, France or Germany, and moving to the US, the UAE, Malta or Portugal. For another pair, ask and we tell you on the call whether we can take it on.
Can I keep my company after I move?
Usually, yes. Where the company is managed decides where it is taxed, so the plan sets out how to run it from your new country without creating a second tax bill.
